Who are home visits for?

Our services are normally delivered in person at our clinic, with full access to the equipment that is there. However, we recognise that receiving physiotherapy should be convenient and comfortable for every patient. This is not always possible for patients with severe mobility issues, such as those recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or facing other mobility challenges. Our Home Visit Appointments are designed to cater to individuals who are unable to travel to our clinic.

What services do we offer?

We mainly provide home visits for Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation for older adults in private homes and care homes. However, other services, such as Chiropractic and Osteopathy may be available on request.

It should be noted that treatments may need to be adapted away from the clinic, as some of our equipment is only available there.

How do home visits differ from clinic appointments?

Before any home visits are arranged, we will arrange a call with you to ensure a visit is suitable. This will include assessing the risks for both patients and practitioners, and confirming what equipment will be needed.

Within the Swindon area, home visits are arranged and charged as a double appointment, allowing the practitioner time to attend and complete the appointment. They will bring any suitable equipment with them. We will typically aim to arrange these appointments at the start or end of their working day.

Is a home visit suitable for me?

We will schedule an initial call with you or your carer to plan for your home visit and assess suitability. During your initial Home Visit Appointment, our Physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment to understand your condition, medical history, goals and treatment requirements. This comprehensive evaluation will allow us to design a personalized treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs and within the environment of your own home. Whether you require rehabilitation exercises, manual therapy, or specialized techniques, our physiotherapist will guide you through the process and ensure that you receive the best possible care.
